Numb3r p1ate5 galore – read on
Surprisingly, the DVLA does have an official website where you can search for and then buy a personalised number plate. You can enter a combination of letters and numbers and if that plate is available for sale then you can pick it up for anything starting from £250. The prices quoted on this website may seem a little more expensive than some others but remember that they include VAT and the £80 arrangement fee that you will have to pay to the DVLA for changing the plates on your car. This fee is payable to the DVLA wherever you purchase the plate from so it is worth bearing this in mind. If you can’t find the plate that you want on the DVLA website, there are countless more companies selling personalised number plates. Once you buy a personalised number plate you will be sent a Certificate of Entitlement (V750) by the DVLA. Once you are ready to put the plate onto a vehicle, you will need to complete the form and return it. You will need to keep the retained part safe as if you change vehicles you will need to let DVLA know.
