Known for their sporty designs and competitive pricing, Mazda have for a long time been amongst the top players in the UK car market. Best known perhaps for the MX5 two seater sports car, ubiquitous on the UK’s motorways Mazda have now brought out a new model in their Urban Car range.
The Mazda2 is being hailed by Mazda as “the greatest car in the world”. They feel that this is not an exaggeration and in fact is well deserved as proven by being the winner of “World Car of the Year 2008”. The judges felt that this car excelled in all the categories: looks, comfort, practicality , driving dynamics and environmental credentials.
Perfect as a city car, the Mazda2 is a smooth and comfortable drive with a reasonable turn of speed on demand. With power assisted steering and a neat shape it is easy to park in small spaces. The design is visually pleasing, sleek and contoured making the Mazda2 fit in perfectly in even the most upmarket area.
The Mazda2 is available in petrol or diesel models, and with three or five doors. There are also ten on-trend bodywork colours to choose from.

Purring like the big cat they are named after, Jaguar cars continue to be the epitome of class and style on the road. With a long tradition of creating fast beautiful saloon cars with comfort, refinement and an amazing driving experience in mind, Jaguar have gone one step further to create the all new XJ.
Having reworked the overall design and internal mechanics, the new Jaguar XJ combines stunning lines, intuitive technology and innovative thinking. Four models are on offer: the Luxury, the Premier Luxury, the Portfolio and the Super Sport.
The list of features for the Super Sport is so long we could barely make it to the end. Available in two solid and twelve metallic exterior paint colours the spec has 20” Mataiva alloy wheels as standard although there are eight other alloy wheel designs to choose from. For the interior, the standard spec includes a combination of six different interior colour schemes and six different wood veneers.
Features we particularly love the look of are the panoramic roof with electrically controlled blinds, interior mood lighting and a four zone climate control.
Of course a pretty car will set you back a pretty penny. This 3.0Litre beauty with just some of the accessories on offer comes in at around £60,000. That is the price of a small house somewhere in Britain but if you have the cash then I’d splash it on this.
Another Japanese car manufacturer, Suzuki have been a little quiet of late. Back with a bang, a new range of models and some tempting finance deals, they look set to entice the buyer. Also taking part in the Government car scrappage scheme means that you could get more Suzuki for your money.
One of the new models is the Suzuki Splash. Available in either 1.0L or 1.2L petrol or 1.3L diesel engines, the Splash has six airbags and comes with a radio, CD and MP3 player and has full air conditioning. It also has ESP (electronic stability programme) which prevents loss of control and is available in seven colours.
Another of the new models is the Suzuki Swift Sport. Available in four fashionable colours it is a 1.6L three door little number. This truly is a sporty model with twin exhausts and 17” alloy wheels. It comes complete with a radio, CD and MP3 players and has steering wheel mounted audio controls allowing you to keep your full attention on the road.
Suzuki are offering good deals on finance and warranties at the moment. If you are interested in a Suzuki car then we suggest you check out the official website for vehicle specs or contact your local dealer to find out what deals they currently have.
