Are you thinking of buying a used car?
With cars depreciating in value faster than ever before, it makes more sense than ever to buy a decent used car than see a brand new vehicle lose value as soon as you drive it away from the forecourt. Most dealerships sell used cars, allowing you to either buy them outright, take out a payment plan or use the car that you are selling in part exchange to a percentage value of the vehicle that you want to buy. If you know the make and model that you like, you could first of all contact a local garage to see what they have available for sale. If you are confident that you will be able to spot a decent motor and won't be taken for a ride, pardon the pun then you could check the listings in your local paper or could check out Autotrader to see what is available for sale country wide. If you are able and willing to travel to test drive and possibly collect a used car then this could be a great way of finding a good bargain. Auction websites such as eBay are also great for finding used cars but these may come with no guarantee or come back from the seller, and you need to know your way round an engine to make sure that you don't get fobbed off with a lousy drive. The world's largest used car dealership is Car Giant which quite literally has thousands upon thousands of used cars of every make and model at their compounds. You can check availability through their website and once you have verified that they have the car you are after, you can go to the site itself and pick up your keys.
